Accounts Manager

Our client, a successful and well-established supplier based in the heart of the Midlands are recruiting for an Accounts Manager.

The role will be reporting to the Managing Director and will be responsible for a wide range of accounts across varying platforms. The Accounts Manager plays a pivotal and central role in the current and ongoing success of the company, largely in a commercial capacity. Managing both internal and external relationships and commercial cycle.

Core responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Supervise the day to day running of the Accounts department
  • Oversee Purchase Ledger/Sales Ledger, Budget & Credit Control
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Invoicing finance and reporting
  • Processing supplier payments via Bacs
  • Month-end reporting
  • Management Accounts – support and prepare Year-End
  • Managing both monthly and weekly staff payroll
    • PAYE returns, HMRC, Pension payments and reports
  • Fleet Management
  • Insurance renewals and claims

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills;

  • Have recent experience within a similar role and working for with an SME
  • Working knowledge of SAGE and a competent user of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of OGL or similar integrated CRM software is highly desirable
  • Financial qualifications are desirable (ACCA, ACA etc.)
  • Proven ability to work to a high standard while multi-tasking
